**About this Opportunity

As a Customer Excellence Project Specialist, you'll be responsible for developing, implementing, and providing continuous improvement to all Product Services initiatives and projects under general supervision. You will develop reports and effectively communicate updates and ongoing process changes to the Product Services Team. You'll contribute to a collaborative work environment where the Product Services Team is viewed as an invaluable resource to the organization.

  • Contribute to the ongoing administration and improvement of technical tools, including, but not limited to: phone system, call tracking, and CQS.

  • Develop and maintain a service model to reach customers not serviced via traditional distribution channels.

  • Develop a communication plan and project plan for initiatives driven by Product Services leadership.

  • Develop necessary systems and reports to assist efforts to achieve and improve Product Services objectives.

  • Perform additional responsibilities as requested to achieve business objectives.

  • Provide scheduling, planning, and training coordination services (internally and externally).

  • Take responsibility for initiating and providing timely feedback to work team member(s), including formal performance plans, performance reviews, and performance coaching.

  • Use the Herman Miller Performance System (HMPS) problem-solving method to identify issues and implement countermeasures.

  • Work closely with Customer Care to ensure that the appropriate resources are available for successful and timely project implementation when needed.

  • Work with employees at all levels to understand issues, identify appropriate solutions, and implement corrective measures.

You might be just who we’re looking for if you have...

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, or equivalent educational and professional experience.

  • Three years of experience with systems and implementation. Three years of experience in Product Services is preferred.

  • A demonstrated ability to lead, influence, solve problems, and work with all levels in the organization.

  • A demonstrated ability to manage multiple, complex projects in a timely manner.

  • Proven organizational and time management skills. You should also be self-motivated and able to work independently with limited direction.

  • An exceptional problem-solving ability and systemic thinking. A background in HMPS is preferred.

  • A demonstrated high level of written, verbal, and interpersonal skills to communicate information, ideas, procedures, and processes in a logical sequence and at a level appropriate to the audience, resulting in effective working relationships.

  • A demonstrated ability to effectively use the office automation, communication, software, and tools currently used in the Herman Miller office environment.

  • The ability to perform all essential job functions of the position with or without accommodations.
