Herman Miller’s Summer Internship Program is a paid, 12-week opportunity that provides a 100% real-world experience for students early in their career. Throughout the summer you will apply academic learning to real-world situations and cultivate leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.

As an RPA Developer Intern, you’ll work with our Robotics Process Automation, teaching software bots manual tasks that are today accomplished by individuals. Herman Miller uses UiPath for RPA, the best-in-class toolset that enables us to implement low-code automations to impact the business rapidly.

*Inside the Job *

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing new automations in UiPath

  • Developing enhancements for existing automations in UiPath

  • Investigating, understanding, and defining high-volume, repetitive processes that could be good candidates for automation (spending time with a subject matter expert seeking to understand the current condition)

  • Working with subject matter experts to accurately describe a current process in a step-by-step manner (Process Design Document)

  • Understanding and using UiPath Studio to automate processes to drive efficiency and cost savings

  • Measuring the impact and performance of automated processes

  • Gaining on-the-job work experience aligned with your career objectives

Needed skills and experience for this role include:

  • An interest in learning how things work

  • Curiosity about how business gets done and a passion for finding ways to improve it

  • Interpersonal and communication skills

  • Critical thinking skills, an automation mindset, and you are process driven

  • Enrollment in and pursuit of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and/or Information Systems from an accredited college or university, and able to provide transcripts upon request.

  • You must have a GPA of at least a 3.0 (cumulative or within your major) to qualify for consideration in the Intern Program

  • Favorable academic standing within your current academic program

  • Authorization to work in the United States
