h3 class="job-company"Description/h3div id="description" align="center"Apex Systems, Americarsquo;s second largest technical staffing firm, has an opportunity for a align="center"Sr. Systems Support Analyst align="center"in Columbia, SC. align="center"If interested in this, or any other opportunities with Apex Systems, please send a resume and best contact information to Sarah Zschunke at szschunke@apexsystems.com.Location: Columbia, SCRequired Work Experience:* Six years of technical experience with Unix/Linux administration, and/or WebSphere application server/Liberty Application Server or equivalent and/or IBM WebSphere MQ administration.* Experience supporting Java based applications and resolving technical production issues* Experience deploying applications to IBM Liberty Application Server or similar Application Server o Technical proficiency to install, configure and support Application Server and Web Server software such as IBM WebSphere Liberty or equivalent o Experience with shell scripting in a Unix/Linux environment.Preferred Work Experience:o Experience developing automation and scripting to deploy Web Applications to Application Servers.o Ability to work in a collaborative DevOps and Agile culture.o Experience installing and configuring Application Servers on the Cloud.Required Skills Abilities:* Comprehensive knowledge of relevant operating systems especially Unix (Linux or Solaris or AIX), middleware technologies like Application Servers, programming languages, and their usage in the company.* In-depth understanding of the requirements for maintaining production systems and the effects of program changes.* Comprehensive understanding of applications/development, quality assurance and integration methodologies, concepts and facilities in a middleware, Application Servers and/or PC/LAN environment.* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.* Excellent customer service skills* Ability to work well under pressure and as part of a team.* Ability to pay attention to detail.Job Description:30% Provide enhancement recommendations based on long-term IT organization strategy. Analyze new/revised processes/change requests from the maintainer. Collaborate with various internal groups and external vendors to ensure all specifications are met and problems are resolved as they arise.30% Participate in the development of custom integration solutions. Review and research issues reported from external/internal customers. Evaluate interrelationships in projects to determine how changes/installations of one program will affect others25% Participate in work sessions and walkthroughs for quality and production implementations, releases, data conversion projects and/or disaster recovery exercises. Attend implementation meetings to determine impact to system availability and assignment of team resources for these implementations.10% Work closely with team members to understand business requirements that drive the analysis and design of quality technical solutions. Act as an internal consultant, advocate, mentor, and change agent. Answer questions and/or provide training for the Production Support team on current system.5% Perform installations, configuration, analysis, scheduling and tuning on complex projects.
