Beaumont Health System Data Technician in Wayne, Michigan

divGeneral Summary:Reporting directly to the Director/Manager of Nutrition Services, this role is responsible for maintaining department records and communication with internal and external customers. Maintains inventory and orders department supplies as necessary to meet department demands. Performs data entry functions for required software systems. Ensures positive site relations.Essential Duties:Interacts with internal and external department customers to ensure efficient operations and high quality servicesProvides effective written and verbal communicationDevelops and maintains department employee records and documentsDevelops and maintains assigned financial documentsInventories and orders department suppliesPerforms data entry functions for Beaumont Health and department specific software systems.Participates in service and quality improvement initiatives (Press Ganey/HCAHPS).Complies with local, state and federal laws and regulations that pertain to the operation of Nutrition Services.Models the behaviors embodied in the mission of Beaumont.May participate in various department committees.Maintains and contributes to a safe work environment.Uses tools and equipment appropriately.Standard QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Associate's Degree preferred.Work Experience:1-2 years food service experience required, 2-3 years' experience working with a variety of software applications required,,1-2 years customer relations experience preferredCertification, Licensure, Registration: ServSafe Certification preferred or willing to obtain per site requirementOther Qualifications:Excellent communication and interpersonal skills will be required in order to communicate with vendors, guests, hospital staff, management, co-workers and all other persons associated directly or indirectly with assigned site. This job requires independent decision making. Assignments are received in the form of direction from Director/Manager and results expected, due dates and general procedures to be followed.Demonstrate proficiency in current Microsoft Office Suite applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) with the capability to master company and department specific software and databases and other business software.div/div/divBeaumont Health is an equal opportunity employer.
