Position Description

  • Review and evaluate customer requirements and conditions against ZF product capabilities.

  • Support program lead engineer in constructing the compliance matrix.

  • Review and approve test and validation results.

  • Lead or support product development Issue tracking, resolution, documentation.

  • Support development of new product features, functions, diagnostics, and verification tests.

  • Coordinate /communicate with other engineers (mechanical, software, safety etc.) to complete design and prototype activities.

  • Lead or support analysis activities as required

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (minimum) in Electrical Engineering preferred; Degrees in Mechatronic/Mechanical Engineering with requisite electrical knowledge/experience acceptable

  • 2+ years of experience preferred in engineering, preferably in the automotive steering and suspension industry

  • General competency in two or more of the electrical fields (motors, electronics, controls, computer hardware)

  • High levels of initiative and resourcefulness; capable of operating with minimal direction

  • Excellent organizational skills, documentation skills, and attention to details

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Automotive electrical/chassis systems and vehicle dynamics knowledge preferred but not required

  • Good mechanical aptitude a plus.
