SDL is a community of lab testing experts who as a team, work together to ensure the execution of world class test evaluations are conducted in a safe and efficient manner.This opportunity is seeking experience in the use and application of concepts, practices, and techniques to provide solutions to non-routine problems of more moderate scope and complexity. Your technical knowledge, training, and understanding combined with conceptual ability to relate work performed with broader technical and business context makes you capable of performing higher-level work. The fundamental knowledge of underlying theory and principles of a technical field provide assignments that are broader and more dynamic in nature. Working under general supervision, you will be responsible for coordinating with some administration of programs.Key to this role is your responsibility for the design, build, setup, and execution of laboratory tests for the purpose of developing and validating vehicles, suspension systems, body structures, and body closure systems. You will setup and operate laboratory tests using pneumatic, hydraulic, and electro-mechanical closed loop control schemes. We will look for your effectiveness in developing and executing unique testing solutions. Responsibilities also include:* Design and fabricate custom fixtures to facilitate unique test setups* Monitor test progress and document observations in logbook, communicate project status and results to the requesting customer* Summarize and present test results to the broader engineering, design, and validation community* Ability to multi-task and work well under rigorous timing deadlinesAdditional Job DescriptionRequired Skills/Experience:*Strong focus on safe work practices* Associates degree in Applied Science or equivalent* Minimum of 10 years of experience in setting up, developing and executing real time physical test simulations using MTS testing and control equipment such as 329 full vehicle and multi-axis simulation tables (MAST) inertial reacted test equipment* Minimum of 10 years of experience in setting up, developing and executing single channel and multiple channel real time fixed reacted physical test simulations.* Proficient with MTS RPCPro software* Familiar with real time data editing technics* Understands the fundamentals of real tim
