Job Description


  • Coordinate with all impacted component owner teams

  • Communicate will all impacted program teams

  • Gather component plans and critical dependencies for implementation on a regular basis

  • Synthesize information into weekly report for leadership and working team

  • Understand global program structure, launch plan and timing, and global program ownership

  • Manage central gateway module rollout and understand program impacts

  • Lead change management of impacted programs

  • Answer front line questions from program teams and electrical teams

  • Maintain a working knowledge of cybersecurity principles and elements

  • Communicate status through weekly update meetings

  • Run global status meeting on a bi-weekly basis

  • Ensure teams are executing latest cybersecurity requirements

  • Coordinate with validation efforts to ensure on-time execution

  • Manage multiple projects with broad scope, ambiguity, and high degree of difficulty

  • Remain knowledgeable of relevant trends, technologies, and best practices for securing embedded control systems

  • Domestic and global travel, as required

Additional Job Description


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent

  • 3+ years of post graduation engineering experience required; 5+ years strongly preferred

  • Working experience of all aspects of design and development of automotive embedded systems, their application and integration in vehicle design

  • Working knowledge of major automotive subsystems

  • Working knowledge common automotive communication protocols (e.g., CAN, FlexRay, MOST, and Ethernet)

  • Working knowledge of vehicle software integration, data dictionary strategy, and release strategy

  • Working knowledge of ECU sourcing strategies and cost estimation principles

  • Ability to make decisions and recommendations while taking into account appropriate tradeoffs between conflicting objectives

  • Ability to handle ambiguity and make decisions and recommendations with limited data

  • Solid analytical/problem solving skills with capability to identify solutions to unusual and complex problems

  • Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to lead diverse/cross-functional teams, as well as mentor, motivate, and elicit work output from peers and other team members

  • Effective communicator with solid oral and written presentation skills

  • Ability to travel as needed (up to 5% max)

  • Ability to legally operate a motor vehicle


  • Advanced Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering or equivalent

  • Design release experience of electrical / software components, change management experience, program team experience

  • Vehicle launch experience
