Kforce Customer Literature Technical Writer in Warren, Michigan
Kforce has a client in search of a Customer Literature Technical Writer in Warren, MI.Key Tasks:
Develop, author, and proofread customer literature (owner's manual) information according to the company's global writing style guidelines
Author and manage customer literature content in the company's content management system
Research vehicle content for current and future model year vehicles using any and all available information, including program plan books and standard and optional content lists, Engineering Change Requests and Decision Notices (CR/DNs), validation vehicles, and engineering meetings
Accurately update customer literature to incorporate research findings as well as feedback from engineering, marketing, and customer literature team members
Perform on-vehicle validations to confirm correct vehicle content within the owner's manual and review validation findings with customer literature team members and engineering when necessary
Maintain documentation for changes and/or updates to customer literature text and ensure this information remains accessible to the company
Maintain records per Company Information Lifecycle Management (ILM) record retention policy and ensure this information remains accessible to the company
Complete all assigned work according to established production schedule and report any unresolved content-related concerns
Perform additional authoring, data coordination, composition, or other support tasks as needed
Follow all established departmental processes
Attend meetings as required
Technical authoring experience (3-5 years minimum) or equivalent experience
Proficient with use of MS Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint, and Arbortext Editor
Technical writing experience and strong command of the English language
Ability to multitask and manage multiple initiatives without direct supervision
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Strong time management skills and the ability to work in a production-based environment with adherence to strict delivery schedule timing
Ability to clearly communicate complex subject matter - both orally and written
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively and harmoniously with others
Ability to work efficiently and effectively in both virtual and in-person work environments
