Aerotek Body Exteriors And Interiors in Warren, Michigan
This position is to support future programs as a Body Exteriors and/or Interiors Design Release Engineer. The purpose of this position is to take a part or group of parts thru the entire product development life cycle from design thru production and warranty. Individuals will act as a program manager of assigned parts to ensure that quality, timeline and development milestones are reached.
Develops and supports development for Body Exteriors and/or Interiors with support from applicable subject matter teams.
Supports/leads design and technical reviews
Defines requirements for component and sub-system interfaces. Negotiates and reaches agreement with interfacing components, works with others to resolve issues.
Leads/Supports PDT for component/subsystems. (e.g. timing, parts list, DFM, issue tracking)
Performs appropriate studies/alternatives, and supports program direction based upon cost, mass, timing, DFA, complexity and other commodity imperatives
Leads/supports Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA) and Design for Assembly (DFA) development/implementation activities.
Lead/support Peer Review process throughout vehicle development process.
Utilize DFSS methodologies to insure robust design development and trade off management.
Releases Production Design, on time, to meet commodity requirements.
Conducts engineering and design reviews to insure 100 percent design fidelity
Communicates information to and from internal and external customer organizations
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
2 years or more experience with Body Exteriors and/or Interiors
Bachelor Degree in engineering (not technology) is required.
