Job Description

Develop and integrate high-performance, embedded computing platforms into vehicles to enable automated driving features, such as UltraCruise and SuperCruise

ROLES / RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Overall Controls Manager for Automated Driving Compute Platform (ACP) integration;

  • Lead development and integration of ACP Process of Engineering (PoE);

  • Ensure conformance to Global Vehicle Development Process (GVDP) deliverables;

  • Manage cross-functional HW & SW delivery schedules to ensure alignment for development milestones, such as:

  • Internal SW & supplier-provided SW & HW schedules;

  • Bench integration plans;

  • Electrical arch., SW arch., Sensor architecture plans.

  • Coordinate efforts of controls tools group, controller supplier, instrumentation supplier and tools vendors to ensure CST team can be functional using: SW benches, debuggers, compilers, instrumentation, logic analyzers, etc.;

  • Single-point technical contact for leadership, internal and external organizations relative to ACP development & integration;

  • Identify and support resolution of ACP integration issues;

  • Support leadership in defining, managing and prioritizing allocated resources

DELIVERABLES

  • Create Control Plan (PoE) for ACP development & integration;

  • Status Project in Engineering Process Tool (PoE);

  • Develop and support initiatives to meet product safety and quality targets;

  • Ensure embedded controller deliveries to vehicle and bench milestones;

  • Lead overall communication, coordination, and consultation with engineering departments (i.e. SWILs, CIEs) to integrate application code and supplier HWIO to bring-up new ACPs;

  • Communicate project status to leadership & program teams;

  • Support execution teams to ensure successful part release to production;

  • Provide technical input to requirements for future products;

  • Recommend future controller architecture strategies to leverage new technology and previous design learnings.

REQUIREMENTS

  • BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent

  • 5+ years of experience in a software-related area

  • Knowledgeable about embedded system & software as it pertains to engineering

  • High level of analytical ability where problems are unusual and difficult

  • Project and Time Management: Manage multiple priorities while maintaining a commitment to the tasks at hand

  • Problem Solving: Able to identify problems, analyze varying courses of action to determine, recommend and negotiate optimal solutions and execute contingency plans

DESIRED SKILLS

  • Master’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science.

  • Knowledge of Adaptive AutoSAR and QNX

  • Design/Development of Safety Critical Systems/Components

  • Experience with Automated Driving software a plus
