*TECHNICAL ARTIST *

Visteon Corporation is looking for talented, passionate individuals to join our User Interface Software Development team. We are looking for a technical artist to push the visuals of our fully reconfigurable clusters to new levels. The ideal candidate has experience in GLSL programming, graphics rendering and understands the technical limitations of an embedded system. A good understanding of video game engines such as unity or Unreal Engine is needed. You will work across all aspects of a fully reconfigurable instrument cluster visual design, UI, art, animation, and more. Blending artistic expertise and technical ability, you will implement visually stimulating content that will enhance the driver experience.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Act as a bridge between the Artists and Programmers

  • Ensure art assets can be easily integrated without sacrificing the artistic vision or exceeding the platform’s technical limits

  • Research, test and implement new graphics rendering techniques

  • Develop highly efficient shader programs to achieve stunning visual effects on embedded systems

Requirements

Requirements

Years of Experience: 1-3 Years prior experience in a related position

  • Strong working knowledge of real-time graphics rendering tools and techniques

  • Able to show technical proficiency in areas such as lighting, rendering, texturing

  • Strong graphics-related programming skills in GLSL.

  • Demonstrates knowledge of hardware architecture

  • Skilled in the use of 3D graphics software (Maya, Blender, 3D Max, or Cinema4D…)

  • Able to work well as part of a global team

  • Demonstrates good communication, in order to train and mentor others

  • Able to work with minimum supervision

  • Able to think creatively to resolve technical challenges and limitations

  • Have excellent organizational skills

Desired Competencies/Experience

  • Experience in automotive or gaming industry

  • Experienced in 3D graphics software

  • Experience with Rightware Kanzi

  • Experience in unity, Unreal Engine or another game engine

  • Experience with Adobe Photoshop and Adobe After Effects

  • Online art portfolio (work related or personal projects)
