Primary Responsibilities

Located at Grace Lake Corporate Center (GLCC) in Van Buren Twp., near Ann Arbor, Michigan, the ADAS Vehicle Execution Designer will directly report to Visteon’s Head of ADAS System. Although the work location is in Van Buren Township, the role works with a globally dispersed team.

Typical Duties

  • Develop ADAS software requirements and components for Vehicle communication specifications (CAN, Flexray, Ethernet).
  • Develop requirements and software for diagnostics components and services.
  • Implement/develop C code and state machines based on SW Requirements.
  • Configure and alter necessary AutoSAR stacks for test Vehicles and Prototypes.
  • Develop/Integrate AutoSAR compliant SW for ADAS application components.
  • Efficiently maintain SW change requests and issue tracking.
  • Comply with Functional Safety requirements (ISO26262).
  • Model Based Development.
  • Estimate SW activities efforts.
  • Design and execute software integration tests.
  • Create and maintain CANoe Vehicle simulations.


Degree Required: B.S. or higher in Engineering, Electrical or Computer Engineering preferred.

Desired Competencies/Experience

  • B.S. or higher in Engineering, Electrical or Computer Engineering preferred.
  • 4 - 6+ years of automotive embedded development using AutoSAR tools.
  • Experience with market standard tools (Vector or EB toolsets).
  • Software design concepts (dynamics and static architecture for Embedded Systems).
  • Real Time Operating Systems and communication schemes.
  • Automotive Communication Interfaces (CAN, Flexray, Ethernet).
  • Design and implementation of complex Software state machines.
  • Experience in Software development according to the (ISO 26262).
  • Experience in compliance with MISRA-C rules.
  • Simulink and Matlab experience or other MBD tools.
  • Automotive Diagnostic Standard Protocols (UDS 14229, KWP200, ISO 15765-2).
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast paced development environment.
  • Experience working with global teams.
