We are seeking a qualified person responsible for implementing, maintaining, supporting, developing and, designing networks within the organization and between off site locations. Their goal is to ensure the integrity of high availability network infrastructure to provide maximum performance for our users and customers.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

-Design and deploy functional networks (LAN, WLAN, WAN)

-Configure and install software, servers/SANs, switches, Firewalls and other network miscellaneous network devices (ex. Cisco Iron Port, Fortinet)

-Monitor network performance and integrity (PRTG, SMTP, etc.)

-Resolve issues by troubleshooting remote and local infrastructure hardware including servers and storage devices.

-Mentor team members on technical issues

-Create, oversee and test security measures (e.g. access authentication, disaster recovery, PCI network compliance)

-Communicate with users/staff when needed

-Maintain technical documentation

-Suggest and implement improvements to network performance, capacity and scalability

-Sustain the necessary data throughput rate by monitoring networking activity and maintaining all existing equipment

-Maintain the company IP phone system and work closely with the phone service provider to keep the lines active (SIP provider, PBX/Asterisk)

-Collaborate with third-party support and service vendors to ensure that the network stays operational (ISPs, vendor support, etc.)

Requirements

-Industry-related experience as a Senior Network Engineer or Network Administrator

-Professional certification highly desirable (e.g. CCNA, CCNP)

-Solid background in network administration and architecture

-In-depth understanding of communication protocols (mainly TCP/IP) and routing protocols (e.g. OSPF)

-Familiarity with Fortinet devices and policies

-Experience with network diagnostic, monitoring and analysis tools

-Solid understanding of network operating systems (Fortinet, Cisco IOS)

-Sharp troubleshooting skills

-Ability to work independently

-Organizational and mentoring skills

-Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology. Engineering, or related field is desired

-7+ years’ experience in managing sophisticated computer networks

-5+ years’ experience in network architecture design and deployment
