Aerotek Quality Specialist in Troy, Michigan

Description:

This role is 50% of the time working with the plants to make sure that they are following policies and procedures from a quality standpoint which could include training and auditing (virtually for now). The other 50% of the time will be organizing data in a spreadsheet such as, amount of parts shipped, Parts Per Million (PPM) for reporting daily, weekly, and monthly that is sent to the customer.

• Enable the effectiveness of the Quality group through on-site plant visits and analysis of quality requirements and conditions

• Provide quality reporting, data analysis, identify trends, and follow up with NAMC’s regarding corrective action

• Gather, manage, analyze, and interpret NAMC quality data for global reporting requirements

• Provide daily reporting on NAMC quality initiatives and challenges

• Lead the daily morning meeting

• Create and provide weekly quality reports to management

• Continue to learn and develop strength in identifying quality issues and promoting corrective action

• Drive optimization by being actively engaged in continuous improvement efforts

• Function in a highly collaborative environment, where flexibility and teamwork is crucial to organizational success

Additional Duties:

  • This person will interface with the plant personnel on how they are doing relative to the corp quality standards

  • Assis the Quality Trainer on helping train the personnel on the IATF standards

  • This person will do a decent amount of helping train the plants on standards and procedures they should be following and/or implementing

  • The QMS is in place and this person will also ensure the plant is following the QMS as well as that the QA team members have what they need

  • Training could also be in different quality areas such as 5Y, PFMEA’s, PPAP, APQP

Travel (not until COVID restrictions are lifted): Up to 25% to plants (Kentucky, Texas, Canada, Mexico) to assist with the tasks mentioned above

Qualifications:

MUST Haves:

  • Bachelor's degree, ideally in Engineering

  • 2+ years of experience in Quality Engineering

  • 2+ years of experience with Automotive

  • 2+ years of experience with Microsoft Excel (pivot tables & formulas)

  • Experience with auditing and training at the plant level

  • Experience with 5Y, PFMEA, APQP, PPAP documentation
