Henry Ford Health System Principal Performance Improvement Consultant in Troy, Michigan

Responsible for performing large system wide multi stakeholder/department project work of a complex nature, including providing technical analyses and facilitation of a large multi-disciplinary group of senior administrators and/or medical leaders; serve as a lead consultant of a project team, or in a consulting capacity for projects not directly assigned; perform analyses related to area of technical expertise, including Revenue Cycle matters and projects; serves as a technical/lean process improvement consultant to other HFHS departments; leads multiple complex projects through the project life cycle; utilize in depth healthcare knowledge to help complete assigned projects; minimizes unnecessary/non-value add work; develop mitigation strategies; prepare reports and recommendations for management, and coordinate implementation; supervise tasks of Consultants, Senior Consultants or Analysts, and communicate regularly with Senior Management on specific projects; conduct reviews of organization and functional areas on a project basis; act as project lead for individual or team projects; serve as facilitator of multi-disciplinary project team; guides teams through complex process/function changes; provide consulting advice to management of Revenue Cycle, operations and clinical areas; finds process improvements opportunities and presents the findings to leadership; document current state systems and operations, as well as future state process design; analyze client systems, procedures, and operations and identify opportunities for improvement; assist in the implementation of revised and new methods; prepare written and verbal presentations of findings, conclusions, and recommendations; guide Consultants, Senior Consultants and Analysts in performing operations analysis and decision support activities; identify internal staff development needs and opportunities for improvement or enhancement of staff skills; utilize Kaizen, complex problem scoping, dashboard design and creation, basic SQL, 5S, statistical analysis, Visio, ROI Analysis, Gap Analysis, Hypotheses Testing, Work Balancing, Inflow/Outflow Analysis, Staff Productivity Improvement, Project Resource Selection, Benchmarking, Pilots, FMEA, Project Prioritization, Risk Analysis, Communication Plans, PowerPoint, Value Stream Mapping, Cross-functional Process Improvement, Project Team Leadership, Lean Six Sigma DMAIC Methodology, Large Data Set Analysis/Statistical Analysis, Minitab, Excel, Project Scoping, Reduction of Waste/Non-value Add Work initiatives, Work Standardization techniques, and Project planning and Implementation procedures to perform duties; responsible for advising/making recommendations to management; develop and define project scope and objectives; develop and refine project work plans; guiding day-to-day activities of the project team; supply project updates to client and to revenue cycle leadership; prepare project management reports; and coordinate written and verbal presentation of findings, conclusions, and recommendations.

Salary: $98,544 per year

Education: Bachelors: Health Management, Biology, Health Science, Biological Sciences, or in a related field of study (will accept equivalent foreign degree);

Training: None

Experience: Two (2) years in the position above, as a Management Engineer, as a QA/QC Administrator, or in a related occupation;

Other Requirements: Experience must have included one (1) years use of all the following:Value Stream Mapping, Cross-functional Process Improvement, Project Team Leadership, Lean Six Sigma DMAIC Methodology, Large Data Set Analysis/Statistical Analysis, Minitab, Excel, Project Scoping, Reduction of Waste/Non-value Add Work initiatives, Work Standardization techniques, advising/making recommendations to management, and Project planning and Implementation procedures.

Will also accept any suitable combination of education, training and/or experience.
