The Marketing Manager manages the planning, development, and coordination of all marketing communications programs to support the company’s growth objectives. Consults with other areas of management, including sales and product management, to leverage digital marketing, product marketing, trade show activity, direct marketing, and content creation. Manages the preparation of sales aids, leads development of product marketing materials, and recommends the channels best suited to drive interest in NEXTEP products and services. Interacts with vendors to produce promotional material.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Create and execute marketing strategy measured on activities delivered (within budget and on time), qualified leads generated, and incremental revenue generated.

  • Build and manage a rich content / editorial calendar that attracts a qualified audience to our owned properties (including blog posts, whitepapers, ebooks, reports, webinars, infographics, etc.).

  • Grow new leads, including marketing-qualified leads, by converting site traffic through calls-to-action, landing pages, and lead generation content (including offers).

  • Optimize marketing automation and lead nurturing processes through email, content, and social channels.

  • Collaborate with designers, product marketers, sales professionals, and external influencers and industry experts to produce relevant content that meets the needs of both key stakeholders and our audience.

  • Establish closed-loop analytics with sales to understand how our inbound marketing activity turns into customers, and continually refine our process to convert customers.

  • Monitor opportunities and recommend proposals to senior management. Provide feedback to measure Return On Investment (ROI) on marketing activities.

  • Ensure that NEXTEP is consistently represented in all campaigns (events, advertising, direct mail, internal marketing, collateral, and public relations).

  • Aid the Product Management team in supporting sales campaigns and new product launches through marketing campaigns and collateral delivery.

  • Work as an integral part of the corporate communications team to disseminate relevant information

  • Support the brand voice and principles across the range of marketing activities.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or relevant experience or degree in: related field of study from an accredited university is preferred.

  • A minimum of six years of relevant work experience

  • Excellent communicator and creative thinker, with an ability to use data to inform all decisions.

  • Past experience building audiences either online or offline.

  • A dual-minded approach: You’re highly creative and an excellent writer but can also be process-driven, think scale, and rely on data to make decisions.

  • Proficiency in marketing automation and blogging software (https://www.hubspot.com/products/blog?hubs_post=blog.hubspot.com/marketing/marketing-job-descriptions&hubs_post-cta=blogging%20software) in order to generate traffic, convert visitors into leads, and then nurture them (using dynamic workflows) into converted customers.

  • Bonus skills: HTML/CSS, Adobe Creative Suite.
