Humana's IT organization is seeking a passionate, strategic-minded, organized, and self-motivated educator and mentor to act as the Lead Agile Coach for the Shared Corporate Solutions (SCS) organization. The Lead Agile Coach educates and mentors organizational leaders and their teams to instill a scaled, successful enterprise-wide adoption of Agile methodologies and practices including Scrum, Kanban and Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe). The Lead Agile Coach works on problems of diverse scope and complexity ranging from moderate to substantial. The Lead Agile Coach may also support cross-functional product/project/program initiatives. The Lead Agile Coach will work collaboratively with all SCS departments, IT and Enterprise-level agility organizations, Human Resources, and other partner organizations, as well as with vendor partners.

Responsibilities

The work of the Lead Agile Coach includes creating tools and leading training sessions to demonstrate how leaders and associates will apply the Agile mindsets and principles in their day-to-day work. The role guides an organization through the transition and drives the adoption of frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban, eXtreme Programing, and Scaled Agile Framework which implement the Agile principles and practices. The Lead Agile Coach promotes a culture of innovation by implementing Agile principles and frameworks which include techniques to increase collaboration, predictability, transparency and velocity. The role may provide on-going iteration management for high-profile initiatives, provide real-time coaching, as well as gather and share best practices across the Enterprise. The Lead Agile Coach advises executives to develop functional strategies on matters of significance, exercises independent judgment and decision making on complex issues regarding job duties and related tasks, and works under minimal supervision. The Lead Agile Coach uses independent judgment requiring analysis of variable factors and determining the best course of action.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

  • 6+ years of experience in Agile environments

  • 2+ years of product leadership experience

  • SAFe certified or other Agile certifications

  • Expertise with data analytics and visualization along with insight development

  • Story-telling experience

  • Knowledge in customer experience design

  • Process design and improvement

  • Action oriented, outcome focused individual who operates with a high sense of urgency

  • Able to manage multiple priorities and partner across multiple teams/organizations

  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written); able to synthesize and frame information, and convey in consumable and digestible ways to ensure comprehension among various audiences

  • Must have accessibility to high speed DSL or cable modem for a home office (satellite internet service is NOT allowed for this role); and a minimum internet connection speed of 10M x 1M

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree

  • Previous experience planning and managing large projects

  • Prior experience in the health solutions industry

  • Experience with resource planning
