Position in ContextWe are seeking an experienced motivated and results-oriented Sr. Design Release Engineer to join our team at the Troy office. The successful candidate will be working on infotainment products such as Radio, Telematics, Cluster, Wireless Charger, Rear Seat Infotainment system, and Displays.Principal Duties and Responsibilities:ulliRequired to sit on-site and work directly with customer engineering team on design release plan/liliResponsible for issuing and processing Engineering Change Notices to document design revisions/liliWork closely with cross-functional engineering teams to design and release components/liliResponsible for product design and development from prototype phase to production/liliResponsible for DVPR (Design Verification Process and Report) to validate product according to customer requirements/liliResponsible for leading DRE Sync Meetings/liliSupport vehicle builds and launches at customer prototype, pilot or production assembly plants/liliParticipate in post-test inspection reviews including component analysis/liliEvaluate customer information/requirements and review for technical compliance/liliCreate and document RFQ drawings and support creating technical presentations/liliManage project timeline to achieve project milestones/liliMaintain program specific product DFMEA (Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis)/liliIssue investigation, build/test calibrations, support vehicle, builds/liliResponsible for updating and providing weekly reports/li/ulBasic Job Requirements: Education and Work ExperienceulliBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or Computer Engineering/liliMaster degree in Electrical Engineering preferred/liliMinimum of 5 years of working experiences in the area of power electronics, analog/digital circuits, and magnetics, preferably for HEV,PHEV and EV/liliAt least 2 years' experience in automotive OEM or related experience at Tier 1 / 2 supplier level/liliProficient knowledge of MS office MS project, PPT, and Word/liliExperience in any of the following infotainment products such as Radio, Telematics, Cluster, Wireless Charger, Rear Seat Infotainment system, and Displays/li/ulPreferred Requirements: Technical Skills and Software KnowledgeulliExperience working with Vehicle Spy, DPS Tool and CANoe (Preferred)/liliOEM design release experience preferred/liliAbility to analyze complex data and report results if data analyst in test report/li/ulLG Electronics, USA Inc., LG Mobilecomm USA, Inc., LG Mobile Research USA LLC, and Zenith Electronics LLC provides equal employment opportunity to all individuals regardless of their race, color, creed, religion, gender, age, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by state, federal, or local law.
