Job Description:

BAE Systems is currently seeking a Procurement Analyst (Strategic Sourcing) to support the Combat Mission Systems (CMS). CMS is made up of Department of Defense Vehicles, Aerospace Products & Defense Group and Weapon systems. Below are the main responsibilities of the Strategic Sourcing Analyst:

• Responsible for leading and implementing long-term strategic projects and supplier agreements

• Drives strategic initiatives, manages and fully executes the RFQ process, analyzes supplier bids and makes sourcing decisions

• Development of long-term agreements (LTA), negotiations and the creation of an LTA Purchase Order along with Compliance sign off, all resulting in superior cost, quality and supplier s ability to deliver on time (capacity)

• Development of suppliers approved for quote while collaborating with commodity teams.

• Identify second sources in order to enhance BAE Systems position

• Enhance and strengthen supplier relationships

• Further the development and implementation of long-term strategic projects and engage in a high degree of collaboration and communication with commodity managers, tactical buyers and other Integrated Supply Chain areas

• Ability to analyze forecasted data and suppliers bids

• Ensure appropriate cost or price analysis is performed to determine the reasonableness of the suppliers bid or to develop a negotiation position to ensure that all compliance documentation requirements are met.

• Applies continuous improvement techniques and methods to internal processes and systems to increase efficiency and reduction of cost

• Travel approximate 10%

• Available work locations:Louisville KY, York PA , Sterling Heights MI, Minneapolis MN, Falls Church VA

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

• Bachelor s Degree in Supply Chain/Procurement, Materials Management, Business, Applied Engineering, or Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and 4 years work experience or equivalent experience.Working knowledge of Material Requirement Planning (MRP) and or Advanced Supply Chain Planner (ASCP).

• Experience purchasing vehicle components, Cost or Price analysis, Negotiations and PO documentation.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

• A strong working knowledge with developing RFQ/RFP, contracts, preparing financial analysis, negotiations and PO documentation

• Outstanding Microsoft Office Software

• Advanced Excel skills

• Creating and working from MS Projects

• Experience with purchasing multiple commodities and tasks involved in a fast-paced work environment

• Experience with reading and interpreting schematics and component drawings

• Knowledge of ITAR restrictions, and FAR/DFAR requirements.

• Must possess high ethical standards

• Ability to perform in a high-pressure environment and meet project schedules

• Excellent oral and written communications, math skills and ability to multi-task

• Proficient with time management

• Detail oriented and organized

• Motivated and disciplined with a strong desire to succeed, learn and drive positive change
