What You’ll Do:
Develop and support of embedded application software for a family of ground vehicles.
Participate in activities covering the entire software development life-cycle, from requirements development to final testing and delivery of software products.
Perform software requirements analysis.
Develop software preliminary and detail design utilizing software design tools as specified by department standards.
Develop code to implement software design
Develop test procedures and test scripts and perform unit/functional test on the executable software.
Perform hardware/software integration.
Develop and maintain software in accordance with the project and department development processes.
Prepare status reports to management and support design/code reviews.
Interface with other GDLS departments and business units.
What You’ll Need:
10+ years related engineering experience.
Strong background in high level programming language such as Ada, C, or C++
Be comfortable supporting integration issues in a lab environment
Proven ability to maintain, develop and test new functionality for complex software systems
Knowledge of version control tools (Git, BitBucket)
Knowledge of Mil STD 1553, Ethernet and CAN data bus desired.
Ability to work in a team environment.
Linux, Unix & PC experience.
Some travel may be required.
70 percent office environment, 30 percent lab/vehicle environment

Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related technical field combined with 10 + years of relevant work experience.
