Qualifications
The Onsite Desk-Side Technical Support Specialist is responsible for providing infrastructure and process support for IT manufacturing plant operations, including the implementation of corporate sponsored applications that are critical to meeting the plants SQDCM (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Morale) objectives. The Support Specialist will support the plant in all aspects of IT including, plant floor applications, machine controls, local and wide area network administration, Microsoft Office, Active Directory and Windows level one support. The selected candidate will provide line of business support by interfacing with both plant and IT management to obtain business requirements and resolve related issues, maintain IT governance by enforcing IT standards and guidelines within the local IT infrastructure and must be able to work flexible shift as well as over-time as needed.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree
3+ years of application support experience, including trouble shooting and root cause analysis
3+ years of experience supporting Windows Systems, Office Network, Printers, Servers, and Phone Systems
Preferred Qualifications:
Excellent problem solving and communication skills both oral and written
Experience working in a cross functional team environments and being the functional SME
Practical understanding of SLA / KPI application
Ability to interact with business partners and manage offshore supplier resources
Ability to hold themselves and others accountable in restoring services and reducing incidents
Strong knowledge of requirements gathering techniques
Demonstrated leadership ability
Self-starter with the ability to quickly learn complex business process
