JOB DESCRIPTIONThe RoleThe Adient Global Information Security (GIS) team is undergoing a transformation and expansion as Adient increases its cybersecurity resources and capabilities in order to address the increasing cybersecurity threat landscape.Hosted in Southfield, Michigan, the Information Security Threat and Vulnerability Manager is a position reporting into the Global Information Security Operations Director with responsibility with assisting in development and implementation of standard operating procedures which support prevention, detection and response of cyber security risks and threats. Candidate will manage technical security assessments and investigate vulnerability, security, and threat data from a wide variety of deployed tools to determine the risk-level to Adient. Candidate will provide technical guidance to teams and partners to help mitigate security vulnerabilities and provide hands-on support to teams during remediation efforts.As an Manager, you will be identifying security gaps in infrastructure and process, effectively execute projects/initiatives to address them, demonstrate excellent judgment, prioritization and communication of technical security risks, and act as a security liaison supporting business units.You will also drive compliance in relation to vulnerability management across of variety of compliance frameworks (NIST, Privacy Shield, ISO) and proactively identify gaps or conflicts in existing processes and technology and drive to address these items through collaborative solutionsPrimary Responsibilities•Plans, develops, and executes vulnerability scans of organization information systems•Analyzes data from threat and vulnerability feeds and analyzes data for applicability to the organization•Ensures compliance with all applicable configuration standards•Manages enterprise vulnerability assessment and configuration assessment tools•Performs compensating controls analysis and validates efficacy of existing controls•Recommends security controls and/or corrective actions for mitigating technical and business risk•Generates reports on assessment findings and summarizes to facilitate remediation tasks•Produces vulnerability, configuration, and coverage metrics and reporting to demonstrate assessment coverage and remediation effectiveness•Communicates alerts to cross functional teams regarding threats and vulnerabilities to the network infrastructure, applications and operating systems.•Assists with implementation of counter-measures or mitigating controls.•Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.•Define, recommend and implement internal/external threat intelligence strategies•Participates in special projects as required. Threat and Vulnerability Manager is responsible for carrying out all activities regarding SOC policies and SOC procedures.•Develop comprehensive security write-ups which describe security issues, analysis, and remediation techniques to management•Develop internal documentation, such as detailed procedures, playbooks, and operational metrics reports as required•Execute daily adhoc tasks or lead small projects as neededCandidate ProfileThe successful candidate will be a passionate information security professional with the ability to communicate to different business and IT leaders.
