Eaton Corporation Senior Program Portfolio Manager, eMobility in Southfield, Michigan

Eaton’s eMobility Division is currently seeking a Senior Program Portfolio Manager to join our team. This position is based at our Southfield, Michigan facility.

The Senior Program Portfolio Manager is responsible for overseeing, planning, development and implementation of program management principles, standards, IT solutions and best practices. Reporting to the VP of Program Management, the position develops, establishes and maintains program management standards and procedures, and manages the project portfolio budget planning process. Throughout the program lifecycle this position’s objective is to ensure that the program management meets customer expectations on time, cost and performance.

  • Facilitate and coordinate efforts of senior leadership towards the establishment of program portfolio definitions, structures, and processes, from demand management to strategic alignment of the programs, and evaluation, selection and prioritization of the eMobility's programs

  • Engage and coordinate reviews with eMobility's leadership team to validate and assess the business portfolio, execute change, and reprioritize to meet the businesses’ demands.

  • Ensure the oversight and coordination of dependencies across all programs and resolve or escalate conflicts.

  • Manage the capital planning process for respective programs

  • Support and Advice leadership on actions required to balance the portfolio

  • Align programs, projects and operations to the strategic objectives

  • Measure, rank, and prioritize programs and projects.

  • Develop and maintain governance tools, templates, guidelines, procedures, and processes.

  • Leads the selection, implementation, and management of common methodology and IT platforms.

  • Develops and provides formal training related to automotive standards, and program management processes

  • Leads certifications of global sites to ensure compliance with IATF and ISO standards.

  • Leads the project portfolio budget and resource planning and prioritization process in collaboration with Product Strategy, Engineering, and Finance.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree, preferred in Engineering, Business Administration or Operations related discipline

  • Portfolio Management, Program financial management

  • Leading through consensus, and without direct reporting lines

  • High level of collaboration

  • Influencing decision makers for alignment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA from an accredited institution

  • Minimum 8 years of experience within program management and/or operational excellence

  • Prior program management leadership experience

  • Strong financial acumen

  • Technical Aptitude
