Responsible for planning, designing and implementing application enhancements and approved change request using TSQL, SQL Server management studio, IBM Rational Software, Microsoft Visio, ANT, Accurev, Perl, Java/J2EE, JavaScript, ExtJs, MySQL, Servlet, Rest API, CSS, XML, HTML, JSTL, UNIX, struts and Spring; ensure that the testing cycle is covered starting from unit testing to user acceptance testing; develop test cases to do unit testing and test the application with the quality assurance team to provide information required to successfully develop user acceptance testing (UAT) test case; fix the defects identified during unit testing and user acceptance testing to ensure high quality deliverable; coordinate with the deployment team to successfully deploy the project; work with solution architects for preparing architecture design documents; prepare the design documents for complex enhancements; ensure that the code quality is fully functional using IBM Rational Software Architect for WebSphere Software, Notepad 2, ANT, Microsoft IIS server, JBoss, Java, JavaScript, Servlet and Accurev; review the deployed project (service/enhancements) to ensure smooth working of the application; prepare monitoring plan for application health check; review the reports generated by Webtrends e-Metrics Reporting tool using Microsoft sql server, Webtrends e-Metrics Reporting and Microsoft Excel; review application logs to see any bottlenecks and fix those before it leads to major issues; support the upgrade of a highly available Cisco IT help desk applications using IBM Rational Software Architect for WebSphere Software, SQL Management studio, beyond compare, AccuRev, Microsoft Visio, Microsoft word, Microsoft IIS server, Tomcat webserver and JBoss application server; support requirement gathering, analysis, development, and deployment; coordinate with the testing team to get the project tested and have the issues resolved on time; work with the product owners and users to identify the urgency of the deliverable and prioritize the deliverables based on it; and participate in the project review meeting with all the stakeholders; participate in retrospective meeting for continuous improvement process.Location: Southfield, MI and multiple undetermined worksites throughout the U.S.Salary: $101,920 per year;Education: Bachelors – Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or in a related field of study (will accept equivalent foreign degree); Training: NoneExperience: Five (5) years in the position above, as a Consultant, as a Data Engineer I, as a Software Engineer, or in a related occupation;
