Data Technician Req #: 30103126 Category: Admin Support/Clerical Facility: Beaumont Shared Services Department: Shared Services Administration Schedule: Full time Shift: Days Job Details:General SummaryReporting directly to the Director/Manager of Nutrition Services, this role is responsible for maintaining department records and communication with internal and external customers. Maintains inventory and orders department supplies as necessary to meet department demands. Performs data entry functions for required software systems. Ensures positive site relations.Essential Duties*Interacts with internal and external department customers to ensure efficient operations and high-quality services.*Provides effective written and verbal communication.*Develops and maintains department employee records and documents.*Develops and maintains assigned financial documents.*Inventories and orders department supplies.*Performs data entry functions for Beaumont Health and department specific software systems.*Participates in service and quality improvement initiatives (Press Ganey/HCAHPS).*Complies with local, state and federal laws and regulations that pertain to the operation of Nutrition Services.*Models the behaviors embodied in the mission of Beaumont.*May participate in various department committees.*Maintains and contributes to a safe work environment.*Uses tools and equipment appropriately.Standard Qualifications*High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associate's Degree preferred.*1-2 years food service experience required.*2-3 years experience working with a variety of software applications required*1-2 years customer relations experience preferred.*ServSafe Certification preferred or willing to obtain per site requirement*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills will be required in order to communicate with vendors, guests, hospital staff, management, co-workers and all other persons associated directly or indirectly with assigned site.*This job requires independent decision making. Assignments are received in the form of direction from Director/Manager and results expected, due dates and general procedures to be followed.*Demonstrate proficiency in current Microsoft Office Suite applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) with the capability to master company and department specific software and databases and other business software.Beaumont Health is an equal opportunity employer.
