IHS Markit Consulting Associate - Apprentice in Southfield, Michigan
IHS Markit Advisory Services is seeking an energetic and motivated self-starter to join our North American Automotive team. Team members will be exposed to a number of IHS Markit disciplines within Automotive and other sectors while gaining valuable insights and experience through interaction with seasoned project managers. Tasks may include primary research through the integration of IHS Markit internal resources, internet and various database portals as well as 3rd party research. Selected candidates will work closely with project managers to build analysis, specific forecasts and presentation decks and deliverables for various engagements.
Interact with IHS Markit colleagues to conduct primary and secondary research as part of IHS Markit Automotive Advisory engagements.
Utilize Microsoft Office programs (PowerPoint, Excel and Word) to build deliverables with a focus on chart/graphics capability and/or forecast databases
Ability to work as a collaborative team with IHS Markit colleagues and 3rd party contributors in North America and abroad
Willingness to learn, contribute and be part of the premier auto research team in the global automotive industry
Enrolled in a Bachelor’s Degree program in Business, Economics, Marketing, Engineering or similar discipline.
Background in statistics or data analytics would be a plus.
Interest in understanding the automotive industry and its structure
Previous experience as an intern or part-time capacity within automotive is a plus.
Personal organization skills with track record of managing multiple projects to ensure on time delivery and customer delight.
Personality and confidence to build strong relationships at all levels internally and externally.
Experience with creating and presenting Microsoft Power Point Presentations and advanced Excel capability. Tableau capability would be a plus.
