Business Analyst Main Office (MOS) Position SummaryBusiness Analysts are responsible for defining scope, eliciting business requirements, and documenting in a concise manner for business and technology-enabled process improvement projects. They quickly learn and understand business operational processes and the technology applications used to support them. Additionally, they work closely with stakeholders to understand needs, create and improve processes, and propose solutions aligned with needs.***This position has the option to work remotely.*** Duties1 Assesses and measures current business processes utilizing a variety of collaborative techniques including interviews, process mapping, and working sessions. 2 Evaluates business needs, analyzes current processes, assists in evaluating alternatives, and recommends solutions. 3 Collaborates with business and information technology teams to ensure sufficient current and designed future state process documentation is captured, allowing technology development teams to successfully code and implement technology-enabled projects. 4 Develops strong relationships with stakeholders, and promotes company culture and service philosophy. 5 Supports assessing, prioritizing, and executing strategic projects. 6 Elicits business requirements utilizing a variety of collaborative techniques including interviews, work sessions, story boarding, and prototyping. 7 Facilitates requirements gathering sessions with business stakeholders; creates process flows and develops various requirements and other artifacts. 8 Measures and compiles reports on operational effectiveness and improvements introduced through technology or business process improvements. 9 Creates diagrams to include use cases, activity charts, and process flow diagrams. 10 Evaluates and determines level of effort and time required for solution delivery to ensure completion in a timely manner. 11 Assists with the development of test strategies, plans, scenarios and test cases. 12 Facilitates requirements reviews with business and information technology teams. 13 Identifies and assists in resolving issues, questions, and scope/requirement gaps quickly and effectively to enable delivery and support of applications. 14 Other duties and special projects assigned. Requirements* Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or related field (Required) * 3 years Experience in a business analyst role * IIBA Certification, preferred * Six Sigma Black Belt Certification, preferred * Lean Six Sigma Certification, preferred * Demonstrated ability to manage multiple competing priorities * Demonstrated leadership abilities * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Strong customer service skills * Ability to understand and translate the voice of business customers * Strong negotiation, presentation and reporting skills * Highly organized with strong attention to detail * Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Visio * Demonstrated ability to take initiative and embrace change * Extensive knowledge of business analysis best practices and methodologies BENEFITSAt Sun Communities, you will be part of an industry-leading organization where you will be challenged, inspired, rewarded and transformed.
