Sterling Bank & Trust DescriptionSUMMARY: BSA Quality Assurance Analyst assists the BSA Quality Assurance (QA) Manager with the overall performance, maintenance and expansion of the Bank's BSA/AML Quality Assurance Program to help drive compliance with internal policies and procedures, BSA/AML related laws and regulations, and regulatory expectations. ESSENTAIL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Conduct quality assurance (QA) reviews of work performed by BSA Compliance and other lines of business to help identify potential gaps, inefficiencies and training opportunities within the BSA/AML Program. Accurately and effectively document and maintain QA testing results, reports, correspondence, and remediation efforts. Recommend remediation efforts and/or process enhancements through actionable reporting of findings and observations to the BSA Quality Assurance (QA) Manager. Continuously assess inherent risks and mitigating controls in the execution of established processes and procedures within the BSA/AML Program. Work closely with BSA Management on QA findings and recommendations to improve accuracy, completeness and timeliness of processes. Assist the BSA QA Manager with maintenance and development of quality assurance review processes, forms and procedures. Actively participate in QA related meetings, training sessions and the development of training materials. Perform other duties as assigned. POSITION REQUIREMENTS: QUALIFICATIONS: Strong working knowledge of anti-money laundering (AML), Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and OFAC sanctions regulations, standards, best practices, and internal controls necessary to mitigate potential risks. Demonstrates a high level of accuracy, attention to detail and problem solving skills. Upholds a high level of integrity, ethics, professionalism and confidentiality. Self-motivated, goal orientated and able to work effectively with limited supervision. Demonstrates sound judgement in in documenting, reporting and presenting issues. Ability to work effectively and congenially with employees at varied levels and with other lines of business. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Strong analytical, presentation, and organizational skills Demonstrated ability to work independently, remain organized, with established prioritization skills Good attention to detail and confident ability to make decisions Strong organization and time management skills, flexibility, and ability to manage multiple tasks with varying priority and deadlines at the same time. Proficient in MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; and three five or more years related experience. Three or more years of prior BSA/AML Compliance experience such as transaction monitoring alert clearing, CDD/EDD reviews, KYC, AML investigations, SAR writing, etc. Two or more years of experience in a quality assurance/control, secondary review function or internal audit strongly preferred.
