Perspecta has an immediate need for an Application Developer in Pontiac, MI.

Job Description:

Work as part of the Perspecta IT team to ensure effective design, develop and enhance of enterprise solutions to meet NGEN Services and requirements. Solutions that are best practices, secure and saleable to help meet customer objectives. The ability to collaborate with administrators and clients to provide technical support and identify new requirements. Communication and organization skills are keys for this position, along with a problem-solution attitude.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, implement, and maintain various industry-related applications.

  • Design stable, reliable and effective databases

  • Gather user requirements and identify new features

  • Develop technical and training manuals

  • Ensure all application/database programs meet company and performance requirements

  • Research and suggest new products, services and protocols

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Proven work experience as a Developer

  • In-depth understanding of data management (e.g. permissions, recovery, security and monitoring)

  • Knowledge of software development and user interface web applications

  • Proficient in one or many development tools

  • ASP.NET Web Applications

  • PowerShell

  • C#

  • .NET

  • Java scripting

  • Expert in one of the following database functions

  • SQL Server Database

  • SQL Server Integration Services

  • SQL Server Reporting Services

  • Excellent analytical and organization skills

  • An ability to understand front-end users requirements and a problem-solving attitude

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • BS degree in Computer Science or relevant field
