Perspecta has an immediate need in our US Public Sector group for a Agile Coach in El Paso, TX, Boise, ID, Charleston, WV, Pontiac, MI, Plano, TX

  • A ‘change agent’ Program Manager who can evangelize Agile methodologies. The Agile Coach has the skills to work at both the Leadership and Team levels: building the supporting Agile adoption framework; providing Agile adoption guidance to Leadership; and working with Teams on the execution of Agile practices and techniques. The responsibilities of the Agile Coach require a combination of strategy and coaching work. The role includes planning and execution of the enterprise Agile adoption program and Agile coaching with teams, individuals and leaders, including Managing Directors. It is expected that Agile Coaches will typically split their time between strategy and execution.

  • Serves as a subject matter expert on scaling agile development, including the use of scaling frameworks such as Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)

  • Comfortable interacting one-on-one with individual technical contributors, engineering leaders, as well as coaching teams of engineers and presenting to large groups.

Provide Agile Leadership coaching, influence and training to Scrum Masters, Product Owners, Program Managers, Technical Teams, Functional Managers and leaders on agile principles/values and how to build, grow, optimize and maintain a thriving agile organization at scale.

Support full agile transformation roll-outs

Deliver hands-on coaching and mentoring of individual scrum teams in all aspects of scrum - daily meetings, planning, self-organization, collaboration, iterative development, scrum processes, team building, and facilitation as needed and transition the current process into an agile development process.

Strengthen the presence of our team as an Agile center of excellence. Actively contribute to the company’s Agile and Lean Community. Keep the rest of the company network aware of our activities

Qualifications

  • Total Experience of 10 years with 3 to 5 years of Program Management experience preferably in an Engineering or Technical Environment

  • 3 years of direct experience with multiple Agile teams/Agile Coaching

  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects

  • Expert in Agile methods and practices through multiple teams (Scrum and Kanban, SAFe)

  • Consulting and facilitation skills in leading technical teams in the adoption and improvement of agile methodologies; ability to lead by example

  • Someone who can influence, persuade & make things happen.

  • Solid understanding of both software and/or hardware development lifecycles

  • Someone who worked on delivering a Hardware and/or Software product, beginning to end, using Agile/Scrum.

  • Experience transforming an in-flight project from Waterfall to Agile delivery using the Scrum framework.

  • Certified SAFe Program Consultant - Experience launching a new project using Agile methods supported within Scrum, XP, SAFe etc.

  • Excellent communication skills; skilled at cross-functional and cross-organizational communication

  • Certified Scrum Master or Certified SAFe Practitioner or equivalent

  • Excellent change management abilities

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field preferred; or equivalent experience

The Agile Coach role will become a member of the Agile / DevOps Offering area within the OD&T Applications & BPS group. This individual will work with the team to understand and adapt to USPS the Apps Dev Agile as well as DevOps offerings from DXC OGM. They will also work with clients and internal resources to effectively communicate and education on agile principles and pragmatic implementation approaches. They will also work across offering boundaries to help implementation agile principles within other types of engagements.
