Robert Bosch LLC is looking for a Software Systems Engineer for the Localization and Mapping sub-system component. This position is focused on software and algorithm development for Autonomous Driving and Driving Assistance applications. Our team focusses on the building blocks of automated driving like perception, localization and trajectory planning.
Here are some of things you will be working on:
Whiteboard new software designs
Analyzing measurements to understand the source of problems in the vehicle systems.
Creating code based on complicated math and turn that into understandable, readable code.
Document and version control (Git) the code to allow for easy walk-backs and sharing with other divisions in Bosch, local or international.
Use agile methods and work as part of a team and figuring out how to divide up the work, offer suggestions and play nice with others
Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline.
3+ years of academic or professional experience in software code, software architect and embedded control systems, including hands on C++ skills.
1+ years of working knowledge in other languages.
Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related Engineering degree.
Experience in the domain of multi-camera or multi-sensor localization techniques
Experience in the domain of robotics, computer vision with different sensors (Lidar, Radar, Kinect, Sonars) as well as hands on development in field of SLAM, point cloud processing, sensor modeling, object tracking.
Exposure to Robotic Operating System (ROS)
Know-how on digital maps and formats, e.g. NDS Autodrive
Knowledge of Linux and development on Linux systems
Ability to work on challenging problems as well as implement efficient algorithms to address those problems
Knowledge of driver assistance sensor technologies and functions as well as vehicle electrical architecture.
Excellent communication skills along with the ability to work independently as well as part of a big team in an effective manner
Ability to travel internationally (Germany) times a year and work with international teams. Being able to spend extended time (3 months or more) in Germany is a bonus!
