Aerotek NVH Engineer in Plymouth, Michigan
This highly reputable Tier one supplier has an opening for an experienced NVH Engineer responsible for the development of Electric Power Steering Systems. Candidate will be responsible for in-vehicle and bench testing and analysis.
Responsibilities include :
In vehicle NVH testing of steering gears at OEM’s, including rattle, clunk, and operational NVH
Ability to operate independently at OEM’s to set-up testing, install instrumentation, obtain and process data, perform subjective evaluations, and report back results to OEM’s in a timely manner
Bench testing of steering gears, including standardized tests, issue resolution, root cause analysis, and testing correlation
Hands on capability for instrumentation set-up and testing
Maintaining high level working relationships and communication with OEM’s and Tier II suppliers
Taking a proactive approach in problem solving issues from OEM’s by identifying software, hardware and system level issues that contribute to NVH improvements
Collaborating with other team members on standardized and formal test reports
NVH testing and development experience required
Use of Head Recorder and Artemis data analysis software
Proficient use of Microsoft Office Tools
Nice to have:
Prior steering gear bench testing is a plus
Knowledge of CAN tools and CANalyzer is a plus
- Candidate should have 5 years of prior NVH experience and be well versed in FFT analysis, order tracking analysis, and acoustics.
