Strictly ConfidentialOutline Job DescriptionPosition: Quality Technician Level 2 Revision: C 13-Mar-20Reports To: Quality ManagerResponsibilities: Generate and maintain work instructions related to the quality functions and related warehouse activities at CMAI Plymouth. Assist in coordinating problem resolutions for customer and supplier quality issues.Essential Dutiesa) Identify and record any concerns pertaining to CMAI warehouse and 3PL services related to any product or process with authority to take steps necessary to prevent non-conformant product being released for shipment. b) Coordinate containment rework activities for all suspect non-conformant product at the customerand#8217;s location and in-house as required. Rework activities as applicable.c) Work with suppliers to initiate formal root cause investigation and development of a robust corrective action plan until deficiency or NC condition is corrected using formal 8D methods.d) Ensure that the containment activities remain in effect until the corrective action(s) have been verified to be effective and include customer approval.Qualifications/Abilities: Familiar with GDT and ISO 9001 Internal Auditing. Must have experience working with Customer blueprints, Layout reports, Excel, SPC, MSA, PPAP, and 8D/5WHY problem solving. Minimum 2 yearsand#8217; experience in Quality field. CMM programming and operation a plus.Key Elements:1. Lead role and responsible for coordinating all containment activities, including rework. 2. Develop work instructions with comprehensive information and photos that ensure output suits customer requirements.3. Conduct training for all related containment and/or rework projects. Confirm proficiency on routine basis. 4. Assist with daily tasks associated with approving product for shipment and record keeping of all inspect, pack and ship functions.5. Audit and report on company conformance to the quality procedures to assure compliance, as necessary.6. Assist with the APQP activities related to customer prototype and PPAP submissions, as necessary.7. Interface with customers and suppliers as required for all quality concerns both internally and externally. 8. Gather and maintain customer satisfaction related data necessary for reporting to top management. 9. Participate in regularly scheduled reviews of the operations and quality functions.10. Monitor and maintain quality concern tracking and reporting system daily.11. All other duties as assigned by the Quality Manager.
