The Chassis system control division within Bosch develops innovative driver's assistance (ADAS) systems to enhance security and comfort in the car. At our Plymouth, Michigan facility, we work on the design and release of automotive features and components to fit within the system architectures of today and the future.
We are seeking an experienced engineer whose talents include command of the “big picture” as well as the details, for the role of Automotive System Architect. As a technical leader across groups, you will work closely with both SW and HW engineering groups to design, develop, and implement software and systems that will pull together diverse software components to realize advanced driving platforms.
You will also provide architectural guidance (and specifications) to the groups implementing various software components (such as perception, planning, system software, OTA, user interface, security, …), and the hardware platform, to ensure that the final result is a safe, high performing, and unified system.
Minimum Requirements Include:
Bachelor's degree in an Engineering Discipline.
3+ years automotive product development/delivery experience in an electronic product line.
1+ years of experience developing and debugging software in C or C++.
Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related degree
10+ years of relevant industry experience
Experience developing ADAS functions (e.g. adaptive cruise control, highway assist, lane keep assist, lane departure warning, …)
Familiar with ADAS sensor technologies (e.g. LiDAR, Radar, Video, …)
Familiar with relevant actuators (brake systems, steering systems, and powertrains)
Understanding of functional safety (ISO26262) and security mechanisms
Ability to communicate clearly the complex concepts in a system and/or component architecture
Capable hands-on C and/or C++ programming and debugging skills, with the passion for remaining involved at a deep technical level
Knowledge of Linux and QNX operating systems
Experience in both low-level operating system functionality (e.g. memory/resource management, scheduling, process control) as well as high-level real-time and/or embedded applications
Track record delivering meeting deliverables on-time and on-specification
