Memorial Health Care Center Sr. Network Analyst in Owosso, Michigan


Develop and maintain the overall network infrastructure. This individual will provide technical leadership and consulting across the organization, from strategic decision making down to the project planning and implementation. This position will gain organizational commitment for all network plans, and initiate and participate in projects to evaluate technologies and methods for implementing these plans. Strives for superior performance by consistently providing a product or service to leadership and staff that is recognized as ultimately contributing to the patient and family experience. Recognizes and demonstrates understanding of patient and family centered care.


  • Design, configuration, and management of network equipment.

  • Proficient with Brocade Fiber Channel Storage Area Networks.

  • Candidates should be highly skilled in TCP/IP routing/switching, firewalls, load balancing, security systems, intrusion detection, and telephony.

  • Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and optimization as required.

  • Responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, monitoring, and maintenance of network hardware, software, and related infrastructure

  • Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs.

  • Primary point of contact for network systems.

  • Install new / rebuild existing network hardware, peripherals, services, settings, in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements.

  • Participates in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure.

  • Demonstrates knowledge of and supports hospital and departmental mission, vision, value statements, standards, policies and procedures, operating instructions, confidentiality statements, corporate compliance plan, customer service standards, and the code of ethical behavior.

  • Performs all other related duties as assigned.

  • Must be able to communicate effectively, coordinate multiple duties simultaneously, be able to independently solve Information Service related issues.



  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or related fields) preferred with emphasis in Electronic Engineering and Healthcare.

  • Cisco, Fortinet, F5, VMWare, Brocade and/or other applicable certifications preferred.


  • Five (5) years work experience and demonstrated knowledge of networking in a multisite environment required.

  • Experience with VMWare NSX is preferred.

  • Telecom / Audio visual experience is preferred.

  • Healthcare experience preferred.


  • Must be able to lift hardware not to exceed 25 pounds.

  • Physical ability to utilize modern office, computer and telephone equipment.

  • Able to travel independently throughout all Memorial Healthcare facilities.

  • Small motor skills required for operating modern computer, office, and telephone equipment as utilized by Memorial Healthcare (MHC).


  • Proficiency using modern office, computer and telephone equipment as used by MHC


  • Able to understand application data flows and craft solutions to meet organizational needs.

  • Ability to design and implement secure solutions.

  • Able to create, test, install and provide in-service to users of new systems and procedures.

  • Ability to remain calm and objective when dealing with users.

  • Ability to adapt and maintain focus in fast paced, quickly changing or stressful situations.

  • Demonstrated ability to read and interpret a variety of documents including, but not limited to policies, operating instructions, white papers, regulations, rules and laws.


  • Ability to read, in order to assess/evaluate vendor publications and in house materials.

  • Able to effectively communicate with individuals with various levels of understanding.

  • Ability to visually and aurally assess computer equipment, and communicate via telephone with vendors and technical support people.

  • Able to give and receive information through hearing and speaking.

  • Able to see for the purpose of reading information received in formats including but not limited to paper, computer, reports, bulletins, updates, manuals. Able to see and hear for work-related purposes.
