Ryder System Supply Chain Engineer IV in NOVI, Michigan

Position Description

Responsible for analysis and utilization of continuous improvement tools to design Supply Chain Solutions in current and future operations.

  • Intermediate skills in MS Access, such as identifying database components, starting and examining access, planning and creating a database, saving and adding records, finding and replacing values in a table, setting field properties, VBA trouble shooting and module creation, creating reports, and printing reports

  • Intermediate skills in MS Word, such as using mail merge, tabs, tables, columns and breaks, graphics, fields, headers and footers, working with margins, page orientation, and spelling/grammar

  • Intermediate skills in MS Power Point such as working with templates, using multimedia objects and custom animations, adding interactions, and publishing completed presentations

  • Intermediate skills in Business Intelligence tools such as Tableau, Microstrategies and/or Power BI.

  • Experience with Business Process analysis and improvement

  • Proficiency with Data Analysis and Data cleansing

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree required in Engineering/Business/Supply Chain or a minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience

  • Minimum of four years of related experience is required

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • MBA and/or Industrial Engineering Masters Degree preferred

  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification preferred, attainment is required within 12 months

  • American Production Inventory Control Society (APICS) Certification is preferred

  • Demonstrated proficiency in: MS Office MS Project and/or AutoCAD, Warehouse Management System (WMS), and Inventory Analyst tools Visio Mapping analysis tools and/or Simulation, preferred

Responsibilities

  • Collects data and performs statistical analysis Maps and documents processes

  • Recommends and implements process improvement Redesigns and/or reengineers logistics processes

  • Supports business development and creates efficient designs and solutions

  • Confers with the Engineering and Operations Managers to implement efficient and competitive solutions

  • Manages small and medium size projects

  • Assists in the development and delivery of presentations to customers as part of the sales team effort
