Summary

As a part of Advanced Engineering Team, the Lead Engineer, Software Architecture will work on cutting edge Infotainment/ Digital Cockpit technologies. They will be responsible for defining a long-term technical roadmap and strategy and deliver high quality technical design and solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining and understanding Software System Requirements documents.

  • Be able to “fill in the holes” in explaining requirements to design team.

  • Coordinate with cross functional teams to evaluate, design, implement and integrate customer requirements.

  • Lead detailed design and implementation of core services and subsystems.

  • Assist team in modifying/implementing product design.

  • Lead teams with release management, configuration management, vehicle troubleshooting activities.

  • Write project plan document per requirements.

  • Review quality related issues and provide initial approval of recommended improvements.

  • Identify and implement process and product improvements, as needed.

  • Investigate and follow up on major or non-routine customer field complaints. Recommend and implement resolutions.

  • Oversee, assign and review work of junior coworkers. Coach and provide guidance, feedback and on-the-job training

  • Document and track issues, maintain the list through the program life cycle.

Qualifications

  • BSCS, BSEE or equivalent in training in product development and experience.

  • 6 years minimum experience in leading, managing, and developing embedded or systems engineering teams.

  • 5 years minimum experience in building complex Linux, Android and QNX based solutions.

  • Extensive experience with embedded systems, audio/video, networking, graphics, sensors and low-level programming.

  • Proficient in the use of CAN tools (CANoe, Vehicle Spy etc.) and standard Android SDK platform tools.

  • Knowledge in QT or similar UI design tools.

  • Comprehensive understanding of current and future automotive systems operation (e.g. eAVB, different flavors of CAN, MOST, PCIe, etc.).

  • Customer management, supplier management and global development team management experience

  • Experience in Automotive and infotainment industry.

  • Deep understanding of Linux and Android OS.

Additional Preferred Qualifications

  • ASPICE process experience is a plus.

  • Working knowledge in open-source Operating Systems is strongly desired (Linux, Android, etc.)

  • Fluency in Java, C, C++, JavaScript, etc. is a desired advantage.
