The Role JOB SUMMARY: The Business Systems Administrator will be part of a multi-national business systems department. The role provides support and system improvements across a range of applications. In this role, you will be primarily responsible for incidents and requests relating to the PLM application, its integration with CAD and the Syspro ERP system for our New Hudson, MI location. The role works closely with PLM process owners, business systems team and engineering, providing scope to build and expand on existing knowledge across applications. What we expect of you* ESSENTIAL DUTIES: * Provide technical expertise in analyzing and resolving requests and problems as they pertain to the PLM system and CAD integrations through GTAC (Siemens solution center) and being responsible for PLM help desk requests * Manage multiple system environments such as (Development, Test, and Production) * Technical lead for system integrations with the PLM system * Able to support improvements in overall systems reliability, configuration, license and configuring databases for global multi-site implementation * Administer PLM Database * Globally responsible for the administration and troubleshooting of our Workfront implementation * Understand and document current business processes and lead analysis into the definition of the future state, including both system and people change * Analyze, document and validate existing processes and map proposed process models with impact of change demonstrated * Manage addition and deletion of new users, groups, roles, securities for TeamCenter, Workfront and Syspro * Manage schema extensions to allow global collaboration * Write and maintain user help guides * Build and maintain relationships with software vendors REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: * A solid understanding of business processes, ideally from a manufacturing environment * Experience of supporting systems implementation or integration projects, ideally seeing through at least one full application implementation lifecycle * Good understanding of engineering product lifecycle * A solid understanding of application architectures including management of data structure and integrity, with basic SQL skills * Experience in identifying the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems * Documenting business requirements to create a solution design and action plans * Designing and administering training to end users * Experience in dealing with external third party application vendors * Strong Excel, data manipulation and reporting skills PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: * 1+ years of PLM Administration or similar experience unified with CAD integrated environment * 1+ years supporting an ERP package such as Syspro * Knowledge of CAD administration * Programing languages such as VBA, SQL, or XML EDUCATION OR QUALIFICATIONS: * Bachelor s Degree or 3 years experience in an IT engineering based operations within a manufacturing facility PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS (AS APPLICABLE): * This role is mostly a stationary office position, but it will require some movement throughout an office and manufacturing facility.
