ProMedica Health System Senior Data Analyst - Quality Management - Full Time - Days in Monroe, Michigan

Position Summary

Incorporates the mission, vision and values of ProMedica in all services provided. Responsible for developing accurate and consistent methods of aggregating and reporting quality monitoring data. Generates reports to support the continuous quality improvement process, which monitors clinical outcomes and resource management throughout the health care delivery system. Continuous monitoring of responsible systems for data integrity and validation. As integral part of the core team, continuously validates customer expectations by taking appropriate and timely actions.


  • Develops, coordinates, implement data collection, integrity verification, reporting and analysis for quality data systems. Continuously evaluates databases for effectiveness.

  • Develops, monitors, and executes reports that support quality assessment and process improvement, benchmarking, ProMedica Monroe Regional Hospital Dashboards/Scorecards, The Joint Commission, Anthem, physician credentialing, clinical protocols, national recognition programs and applications, requests for information and all other quality indicator projects and regulatory requirements as needed.

  • Collaborates with associates across the continuum of care, to provide statistical and graphic displays, which monitor and evaluate quality assessment and performance improvement related activities.

  • Keep current with regulatory requirements. Timely submittal of data to regulatory agencies and publically reported data as required. Actively maintains responsibility as primary Q-Net Administrator.

  • Maintains confidentiality of all data records, reports any incidental information collected in the quality process in accordance with department and hospital policies.

  • Develops, implements, monitors and evaluates the functionality and design of both clinical and non-clinical databases for system-wide initiatives that incorporate automated reporting macros.

  • Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, in-services and continuing education. Shares accumulated knowledge with team and department.

  • Support core measure data abstractors with reporting, specification manual updates / interpretations, verification, patient lists and worksheets. Responsible for assigned data systems / applications.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent or associate degree with three years healthcare information technology experience.

  • Knowledge of medical terminology, health information processes, coding and basic statistical analysis.

  • Previous experience with computer database software and hardware, with design capability preferred.
