Job Description:

Position Overview

As a Summer 2021 Software Engineer intern, you will join the Web Platform team responsible for building a customer facing web application for Autodesk’s subscription users. You will work on meaningful projects, solving unique challenges, processes and tools supporting development of robust and highly performant programs consisting of millions of lines of code. You will work in close contact with software engineers, user experience designers, and QA engineers. You’ll be able to apply your knowledge of algorithms, data structures, front/back end or full-stack and software design patterns to serve customer needs.

The ideal candidate is a strong programmer who thinks creatively, is naturally innovative, highly collaborative, and has a passion for developing software with cutting edge features that are far reaching and have real impact.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the design and development of several features, including reusable modular components

  • Build platform scale REST APIs leveraged by many Autodesk teams

  • Learn best in class engineering practices, to build resilient, distributed services hosted on AWS

  • Implement several web analytics tools and dashboards, for data gathered via Adobe Analytics

Minimum Qualifications

  • Students must be at least 18 years of age

  • Student must be actively enrolled in a degree granting academic institution or accredited boot camp at the time of internship.

  • Students must reside and attend university in the country where the internship is being offered.

  • Proficient in programming in Java or Node JS, JavaScript

  • Strong problem-solving skills

  • Strong computer science fundamentals on algorithms and data structures

  • Strong Communication and Collaboration skills

  • Familiarity with mobile platform technologies

  • A positive and curious attitude

  • Ability to work in team environment and successfully build collaborative relationships

Preferred Qualifications

  • Preferred experience in Web Application Development

  • Preferred experience with Analytical tools

  • Knowledge of Autodesk software is a bonus!

About the US Intern Program

The U.S. program runs from May through August for 12 weeks and will be remote (subject to change). All internships are paid. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects, be mentored by industry leaders, work alongside peers from universities all over the country and participate in tech talks and other activities designed to support your personal and professional development. US recruiting begins in the Fall and concludes end of March.
