The Assistant Project Manager will primarily focus on supporting Project Managers in their roles of managing project teams to deliver Material Handling Systems on time and within budget.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Assisting in the development of Project Plans and Project Schedules
Assisting to create Project Organization Plans and Project Charters
Assisting in the administration and maintenance of all project documentation
Supporting the delivery of a project in accordance with the Project Business Plan
Supporting the financial management and analysis of projects including budgets, cash flow, expenses, and staffing
Writing and delivering high quality documentation and analysis
Leading the development of a portion of Client deliverables and presentations
Fostering positive communication between internal teams, building general contractors, city/county permitting and inspection officials, sub-contractors and the Client
Working within and eventually leading small teams (internal and/or Client stakeholders) during engagements
Supporting and driving high levels of performance both internally and externally
Assisting with testing efforts to verify the operation and performance of material handling systems and equipment
Determining and or assisting with the formulation of test requirements and conditions of testing based on the project
Documenting test results, writing reports and or videoing prototype test results and communicate tests results and or video to the internal team and client
Supporting the Operational Readiness Testing (ORT) effort by assisting with the test implementation on site
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain or related field
Proven experience in project management, project planning or within the supply chain industry
Solid project planning and organization skills
Strong business acumen
Effective communicator (Oral and Written)
Excellent problem-solving skills
Project Management related work experience
Extensive experience working with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Ability to work greater than and outside of a normal work week as dictated by projects and responsibilities
Strong interpersonal, organizational, time management and problem solving skills
Ability to travel 75-80% to UK Client Sites. Potentially to EU client sites in future.
