US Ecology Network Operations Manager in Livonia, Michigan

POSITION SNAPSHOT The Network Operations Manager at US Ecology is responsible for managing, coordinating, and guiding the efforts of our Network Administrators to fulfill organizational responsibilities and to achieve outlined organizational goals and initiatives. This position is management focused, but a deep level of technical expertise in all operational areas is required. The Network Operations Manager helps research and design efficient IT operational systems, oversees capital projects, participates in the creation of strategic plans for growth, and supports company acquisition and merger activities. DAY IN THE LIFE You can expect to: * Manage a team of directly reporting Network Administrators on various tasks and initiatives * Triage and dispatch escalated network support tickets / issues * Manage and coordinate team responses to IT critical incidents * Directly manage complex projects including data center network upgrades, full office network upgrades, new office implementations, existing office relocations, ISP and WAN upgrades, VoIP implementations and migrations * Assist in on-site network hardware implementations, including physical hardware installations * Research and evaluate new systems to improve IT performance and productivity * Assist in the preparation of cost-benefit analysis for technological improvements or reagent alternatives * Develop and oversee operating and capital expenditure budgets for assigned projects WHAT YOU NEED TO APPLY * Bachelor s degree in CIS, CS, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience * Minimum 5 years of IT leadership experience, INCLUDING project management experience * Cisco CCNA, CCNP certifications are highly preferred * Citrix administration experience is preferred * Enterprise Backup software experience is preferred * Windows Server administration experience is preferred * Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Project, Microsoft Visio * Ability to pass pre-employment background checks, drug screening ABOUT US US Ecology helps our customers keep the environment clean by doing the hard but rewarding work of safely disposing of hazardous and regulated waste.
