Position Overview :

Learning Services provides a learning platform that markets learning products & services to customers so they can browse and buy items to support their learning requirements. The learning platform also provides a secure environment for customers to access their learning items through standard devices (PC, tablet, smartphone) while providing them a great experience. The learning platform is designed to be flexible, scalable, and rapidly respond to market needs and customer requirements.


Develop web applications to satisfy business requirements.

  • Work with Learning Services business leaders to convert their requirements into web application solutions.

  • Able to work under minimum supervision and guidance.

  • Coordinate development assignments with team members to ensure a cohesive solution.

  • Use authoring or scripting language to build the web application.

  • Validate the web application is compliant with security and design policies.

  • Deploy web application to production environment

  • Document development details to support repeatability and knowledge sharing.

Provide escalation support to ensure uptime and resolve defects

  • Respond to issues submitted by customers and validated by Customer Service within the timeframe indicated by the ticket priority.

  • Coordinate a resolution plan that is agreed to by the related parties.

Develop and Deliver presentations to colleagues and business leaders

  • Deliver presentations to relevant audiences to inform them of upcoming plans or deployments and ensure their alignment and readiness to support the web application.

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

  • Excellent understanding of how a business can utilize web technology to market, sell, and deliver products and services while satisfying customer and business requirements.

  • 3 or more years of experience in in web application development including the following skills:

  • Wireframe/layout web application


  • JavaScript/jQuery

  • Responsive Design/Bootstrap

  • Browser Developer Tools

  • Database knowledge, including SQL language and schema definition

  • AWS architecting and scripting experience a plus

  • CFML coding experience a plus

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; any additional language is a plus

  • Excellent teamwork skills and proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in computer science, programming or related field.

  • Ability to travel less than 5% of the time
