General Electric Senior Commodity Manager - IT in Lansing, Michigan

Role Summary:

In this role, you will be responsible for providing strategic sourcing support to the Digital Workplace (US) Horizontal. As the Digital Workplace (US) Horizontal Sourcing Leader, you will establish relationships by building trust with internal & external stakeholders, then develop/execute strategies to meet business outcomes. You will lead and have full responsibility over all negotiations and sourcing initiatives for the horizontal CTO and their staff.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Create and drive sourcing strategies in alignment with the GE Digital’s IT vision around productize digital workplace.

  • Partner with IT leadership at the highest levels to ensure all commercial requirements capture desired cost, performance, service, and business outcomes.

  • Develop & cultivate mutually beneficial relationships and strategic engagements with key partners.

  • Plan and lead the most strategic negotiations in Digital Workplace US across the company.

  • Negotiate the full spectrum of products, goods, and services for the digital workplace to include hardware, software (& SaaS), and professional services.

  • Collaborate with appropriate finance, compliance, and legal subject matter experts in the negotiation and execution of high value contracts including Master Services, Enterprise License, Master Product Agreements, Statements of Work, and Non-Disclosure Agreements. Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in STEM or related field from an accredited university or college

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in Sourcing or IT

  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% of the time Desired Characteristics:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Sourcing, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or Engineering

  • Masters in Business Administration (MBA)

  • Demonstrated ability in leading large scale change

  • Demonstrated ability to influence in a matrixed organization

  • Strong quantitative and data analysis skills

  • Proven ability to manage complex projects and improve processes

  • Change agent with ability to influence at all levels of the organization

  • Process leadership experience such as CAP, Work-Out, process improvement, or quality is preferred (Internal GE employees only)

  • CPM or APICS certification

  • Six Sigma trained & certified

  • Strong oral and written communication skills
