THIS POSITION CAN BE LOCATED REMOTELY ACROSS THE U.S. SUMMARY: The Manager, Program will implement multiple business and technical Medicare Advantage initiatives for external clients. This position manages multiple annual projects, including system upgrades, CMS, and quality Initiatives and oversees all work, including issues, risks, and components. This role manages multiple project teams, implements and improves standard processes and tools to drive operational efficiencies, and meets operational and financial commitments of the client contract. This position is ultimately responsible for implementing efficient and cost effective systems and processes and transitioning them to operational excellence and corporate alignment. RESPONSIBILITIES/TASKS: * Leads workshops and meetings with the client. * Manages multiple Medicare Advantage initiatives to the objectives of the client contract. * Oversees multiple initiatives and track/workstream delivery plans. * Oversees multiple initiatives and release/workstream performance and reporting. * Implements the releases/workstreams within the release schedule. * Stands up the implementation approach. This includes the governance structure, management processes, plans, procedures, tools, etc from the Implementation team * Develops, maintains, and manages the release/work stream schedule and dependencies. * Works with release managers to support work plans, timelines, and milestones for work streams within the release. * Supports creation and management of Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Operational Level Agreements (OLAs) with other operational teams. * Responsible for the delivery of business results assigned to the release(s). * Manages the program design, development, and deployment effort within schedule and budget. * Drives the management of program scope changes (e.g. changes which may affect the program budget, timeline, or performance outcomes), and escalates per the contract. * Creates Contract Change requests when the request is out of scope. * Facilitates the resolution of workstream and cross-workstream team issues and escalates to program manager as appropriate. * Works with client and internal leadership counterparts to determine team member roles and expectations, and ensure timely feedback. * Collaborates, as required, with MA architecture to define program impacts and opportunities to reduce complexity/cost of technology architecture in support of future state program capabilities being implemented. * Maintains client interaction as required with the following program supporting functions for the purpose of program administration and control: * Audit for issue transparency and risk. * Finance for cost transparency and reporting. * Compliance for legal and mandate issues that could affect programs. * HR for organization design and skill set identification. * Corporate project services for tools and reporting standards. DIRECTION EXERCISED: Directly supervises exempt and non-exempt staff in accordance with company policies and applicable Federal and State Laws. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, effectively interviewing, hiring, terminating, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and counseling employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems; supporting and encouraging the engagement process.
