State of Michigan Departmental Analyst-E -- Data Analyst -- Information Management Division in Lansing, Michigan

Job Description

This position will be the primary support person and data expert for EGLE’s department-wide master dataset which will include information on all sites, facilities, and locations that EGLE regulates or has environmental interest in. In this role, the position will support the creation, on-going maintenance, cross-divisional coordination, and overall implementation associated with the Master EGLE Interest Repository. This position will serve as data custodian or steward of in-coming data to the repository and work with business data owners to ensure accurate integration of data sets and to understand the quality of incoming data. This position will research, analyze and define the data assets that are part of the Master EGLE Interests repository; create and document processes, procedures, and standards necessary to ensure data quality; lead bi-weekly collection of data from each division; and analyze customer needs and develop reports supporting those needs.

Required Education and Experience


Possession of a bachelor's degree in any major.

No specific type or amount is required.

Departmental Analyst 10

One year of professional experience.

Departmental Analyst P11

Two years of professional experience, including one year of experience equivalent to the intermediate (10) level in state service.
