What will you do?
The Immunodiagnostics Division (IDD) of Thermo Fisher Scientific develops, manufactures and markets complete blood test systems to support the clinical diagnosis and monitoring of allergy, asthma and autoimmune diseases. With 1,500 employees based in 25 countries worldwide IDD is the global leader in in-vitro allergy testing and also the European leader in autoimmunity diagnostics.
The Consumer Access Marketing Manager will be responsible for activating patients via existing and yet to be developed channels. This is a cross-functional role that will interface with and lead projects across a variety of teams, including Digital, Sales, and Product. Within these projects, this role must demonstrates a primary commitment to patient outcomes and satisfaction. This position will work for the benefit of the untested and undiagnosed patient, parents and caregivers who have not been able to easily access testing, or have not been engaged to do so on their own.
Reporting to our Manager, Consumer Access & Customer Marketing, S/he will primarily execute upon consumer initiatives but also requires the ability to collaborate and contribute to projects that focus on supporting the intersection between HCP, patients, and labs. S/he will partner with leadership to execute sophisticated / mission-critical marketing tactics to drive focused success by addressing market access challenges and consumer landscape changes. This role requires extensive internal cross-team collaboration and management of external resources such as retail partners and creative agencies.
Improve the diagnostic experience
Leverage our platform to develop content and experiences which overcome poor patient experiences before and after testing
Advocate for improved patient experiences across the company and participate as the voice of consumers for cross-functional projects
Collaborate with product teams to create digital and printed patient education content for use in patient awareness and demand generation programs, including patient brochures, in-office materials, videos, and animations.
Conduct and/or support patient advisory boards and other required market research to ensure a deep understanding of the patient journey and patient decision-making process.
Increase consumer awareness and adoption of our current and future tests
Lead planning and execution of campaigns related to consumer initiatives and solutions for new and emerging consumer channels
Provide voice of consumer into the strategic planning process
Develop and implement consumer-specific strategic marketing plan including tactical programming recommendations and investment requirements to maximize effectiveness
Distill Consumer data and analytics into highly effective campaigns and other deliverables
Collaborate on patient outreach package development
Identify and develop new testing access points
Focus on innovating access routes for patients giving them easy & convenient access to incremental testing opportunities, which includes driving patient and sample flow by addressing the need for Point of Care Testing
Collaborate with sales and product teams to execute partnerships and drive activities that activate patients to get tested
How you will do it:
You will work cross-functionally with leadership and content stakeholders to create the portfolio customer experience strategy
Collaborate with national accounts to create a single partnership strategy for key accounts
Collaborate with global digital marketing to plan promotional strategies and tactics
Control budgets and allocate resources across projects
Develop relationships with industry influencers and KOLs
Drive execution of the consumer tactical plan and management of agencies/vendors
Work cross-functionally with marketing teams, sales, public relations, digital, and medical to ensure executional alignment
Navigate internal review processes and work with external partners to ensure timely and accurate execution of projects and initiatives
Understands and complies with all regulations governing the quality systems
How will you get there?
- Bachelor's Degree required
3+ years previous healthcare/consumer marketing experience preferred
Strong knowledge of consumer healthcare trends required
B2C digital marketing experience required
Strong project management skills and understanding of project management lifecycle
Ability to successfully lead projects to completion on time and within budget
Excellent project leadership skills to ensure execution
Superior communication skills including ability to deliver formal business presentations to executive leadership
Initiative - ability to independently problem solve and find resolutions
Superior strategic thinking and analytical skills to synthesize market/Consumer insights into prioritized marketing opportunities
Strong capabilities in analyzing data to demonstrate quantifiable opportunities or results
