The Cloud Automation Architect will be responsible for standardizing and maintaining automation processes and testing procedures to ensure stable and repeatable cloud deployments.
In this role, you will:
Deliver and improve on current automated procedures to support the infrastructure as code methodology
Automate testing procedures for build automation and deployment to minimize impacts of version changes in application deployments
Drive standards adoption for application and tools versioning so applications are deployed consistently and revisions are promoted in a reliable manor in all environments
Establish new automation for containerized application using industry best practices, current tools, and new technologies
Own the cloud software delivery framework, including Chef, Jenkins, and Github ensuring a stable application environment
Educate and evangelize automation best practices to application migration teams and application teams to ensure all possible benefits are captured
Manage and implement cloud architecture for existing and new applications while optimizing the architecture for cloud and maintaining operational stability
Report progress in quantitative measures to Senior Management
Deliver multi-year plan for roadmap on cloud automation and deployments
Maintain current with emerging cloud technologies, evaluate and recommend to management.
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)
A minimum of 1 year of professional experience in OR a Master’s degree in a relevant discipline

Must be willing to travel up to 25%
Must be willing to work out of an office located in Erie, PA; Chicago, IL; or Melbourne, FL
2+ years’ experience with process improvement and standardization
2+ years’ experience with project management and leadership
1-2 years’ experience with cloud automation methodologies and tools like Scalr, Chef, Jenkins, and Github
1-2 years Linux or Windows Application development and deployment experience
Experience with Amazon Web Services cloud environment
Experience other automation tools like Ansible, SaltStack or Puppet
Familiarity with 1 or more programing languages to support application refactoring where needed
Ability to be an agent of change and drive adoption of new processes
A drive to try new ideas and understand how they can be introduced while maintaining a stable environment
Ability to communicate to a many different audiences with varied technical proficiency
AWS or other related certifications.
