ROLE SUMMARYThe MGR/TL Comm Site Safety will act as the system engineer Life Safety, Security, Radios/Pagers, Emergency notification/PA, e-signage, and communications systems as well as managing Life Safety technicians to perform preventive maintenance, design, modify, install, repair, troubleshoot and maintain these systems. This includes master planning and setting strategic direction for these areas.ROLE RESPONSIBILITIESManaging department budgetSupervising Life Safety TechniciansSetting/executing strategic direction and master plansInstalling, maintaining, and programming major systems such as the life safety alarm and emergency notification/ public address system, access control and CCTV/network video recording system, and the site radio and pager systems.Integration of electronic life safety and security systems into building control systems.Leading efforts on the Honeywell EBI Life Safety Upgrade project.Leading efforts on the S2 Security System Upgrade project.Setting direction and executing radioager system upgrades.Managing and coordinating e-signage installation and replacement.Managing Intercom systems used in production areas of the plant.Managing explosion proof phones, call boxes (turn-stiles and areas of refuge), and cabling associated with these.Managing KSN-SE Life Safety VLAN 354.Coordinating vendors that clean B259 server room and vendors that upgrade cellular equipment in the plant.BASIC QUALIFICATIONSBachelors degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Engineering or other technical discipline. 5+ years experience in an engineering or supervisory role.Organizational skills, dependability and the ability to work as part of a team are essential. Working knowledge of Microsoft office and project management tools (Word, Excel, and Project) required. Knowledge of computer operating systems, hardware, software, networking required. Aptitude in master planning, communication, collaboration, project management, and problem solving techniques.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSExperience troubleshooting and maintaining access control, life safety, control systems, or other complex/critical systems is preferred. Experience supervising colleagues is preferred. Experience with verification pertaining to pharmaceutical production operations and computerized systems is preferred.
