Consumers Energy, the principal subsidiary of CMS Energy and headquartered in Jackson, Michigan, provides natural gas and electricity to nearly 6.8 million of Michigan's 10 million residents in all 68 Lower Peninsula counties./emSummaryAs a Talent Management Consultant, you will lead the transformational design and delivery of talent management programs such as the Consumers Energy Talent Review Process, Succession Planning, Rotational Programs, and Mentoring ProgramsSpecifically, the selected candidate will:ulliPartner with People and Culture business partners, senior leaders, and other key stakeholders to ensure the design, development and implementation of talent management solutions that reinforce our culture and positively impact business results/liliLeverage our internal design principles and facilitate feedback sessions with cross-functional stakeholders to confirm programs and processes are designed with the end user in mind Maintain knowledge of current trends and innovative thinking across areas of talent management and bring this knowledge to bear in the programs and processes within scope. Suggest opportunities for continuous improvement to ensure that our talent management practices are in line with leading practices and leverage digital technology wherever practical./liliAnalyze, maintain, and track talent management data, as well as measure the effectiveness of associated processes and programs/liliConsult on talent management topics to improve overall performance at both the individual and organizational levels/liliPartner with learning experts to design developmental activities that increase proficiency in key competencies/li/ulThe ideal candidate will have strong people skills and be able to empathize with client needs, have strong organizational skills, proven written and presentation skills, and the ability to handle multiple priorities. Group facilitation skills are also preferred. In addition, the following experience is preferred:ulliUnderstanding and depth of experience in end-to-end talent management processes across the employee life cycle. The ideal candidate will be able to articulate the bigger picture of how processes align to overall talent strategy and design and execute individual components while measuring outcomes./liliBehavioral change and development initiatives/liliSocial science research, data analysis, and benchmarking/liliUnderstanding of HR Law/liliExperience in leveraging analytics to drive outcomes/liliExperience in working with a variety of internal customers, including senior leaders/li/ulThis position will be remote/virtual until it's deemed safe to return to the office.
